  • A prickly, diffuse perennial undershrub, woody at base, with zig zag branches. Leaves— Ovate or elliptic sinuate or subpinnatified glabrescent, with straight spines, armed on midrib and the nerves with long yellow sharp prickles. Flowers— in few flowered lateral cymes.
