Kaidarya is a small to medium-sized tree, typically reaching a height of 2.5 to 6 meters. The main trunk has an average diameter of about 16cm. It is covered in dark green to brown colour bark that peels off lengthwise to reveal a white wood underneath. Roots are a strong tap root system that can reach a depth of 2-3 feet. Leaves are bipinnately compound that grows upto 30cm long. Flowers are arranged in terminal cymes, with each cluster bearing 60-90 individual small flowers.
