Ishan Ayurvedic Medical College and Research Centre will be hosting a Swarnprashan Camp on 8 September 2026 at the Ishan Campus. Swarnprashan is a traditional Ayurvedic preparation made with gold (Swarna Bhasma), honey and ghee, known for its properties that support memory, immunity and overall development in children. The camp will provide parents and children access to this classical Ayurvedic practice administered by trained professionals.

About Swarnprashan

  • Swarnprashan is a classical Ayurvedic Samskara (purification ritual) prescribed in Kashyapa Samhita for children.
  • It is traditionally administered on Pushya Nakshatra, considered auspicious for the practice.
  • Regular administration is believed to support cognitive development, immunity and physical growth in children.
  • The preparation is made with Swarna Bhasma (processed gold), honey and medicated ghee.
