Celebration of the 11th National Ayurveda Day

Ishan Ayurvedic Medical College & Research Centre celebrated the 11th National Ayurveda Day through a series of academic, cultural, and awareness-based activities organised from 15th September to 23rd September. The week-long celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from BAMS students and faculty members, with the objective of promoting awareness about Ayurveda and connecting students with India’s rich traditional system of medicine.

The celebrations began with a Shloka Recitation Session, where students presented verses associated with Ayurveda and the Indian knowledge tradition. An Medicinal Plant Plantation and Conservation Programme was also organised to highlight the importance, uses, and conservation of medicinal plants.

A Free Medical and Health Check-up Camp was conducted for the general public, providing basic health consultations and spreading awareness about Ayurvedic healthcare practices. To encourage academic learning and creativity among students, an Academic Quiz, Poster Making Competition, and Rangoli Competition were organised.

As part of the public awareness initiatives, students participated in an Awareness Poster and Slogan Rally focusing on Ayurveda and healthy living. Street plays and speech activities further helped students communicate the importance of Ayurveda, medicinal plants, preventive healthcare, and traditional Indian medical practices in an engaging manner.

The celebrations provided students with opportunities to learn beyond the classroom while developing their communication, creative, and community engagement skills. The programme also contributed towards spreading awareness about the relevance of Ayurveda and the importance of preserving and promoting India’s traditional healthcare heritage.

Through these activities, Ishan Ayurvedic Medical College & Research Centre reaffirmed its commitment to holistic education and community outreach, carrying forward the message: “Ayurveda – The Foundation of Healthy Living.”
