As part of its Guest Speaker Series, Ishan Ayurvedic Medical College and Research Centre hosted a Nadi Parikshan Workshop on 12 August 2026. The session was organised to give students an opportunity to gain practical understanding of Nadi Parikshan and learn directly from an experienced practitioner of Ayurveda.

Nadi Parikshan is a traditional Ayurvedic method of assessment in which the pulse is examined to understand an individual’s health condition and the balance of the body’s doshas. It is considered an important part of Ayurvedic clinical practice and requires careful observation and practical experience.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. Vinayak V. Tayade, Senior Ayurvedic Physician and Nadi Visheshagya, Ex-Senate Member, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), and Founder Member, All Post Graduate Association (APGA). Dr. Tayade shared his experience and knowledge of Nadi Parikshan with the students and guided them through the practical aspects of the subject.

The session provided students with an opportunity to go beyond regular classroom learning and understand Nadi Parikshan from a practical perspective. Interaction with an experienced Ayurvedic physician helped students appreciate the importance of observation, practice and clinical experience in developing their understanding of traditional Ayurvedic methods.
The workshop encouraged students to engage more closely with the subject and connect their academic learning with professional practice. It was a valuable learning experience that added a practical dimension to their study of Ayurveda.

Ishan Ayurvedic Medical College and Research Centre extends its sincere gratitude to Dr. Vinayak V. Tayade for sharing his expertise and making the session a meaningful learning experience for the students.
